It's the weekend, kiss someone you love.

First eBay Purchase...

I was always hesitant to shop on eBay - how do you know what you're really getting, and how can you trust the seller? I finally let go of my inhibitions (probably b/c I was drinking a glass of wine) and bid on these for 60% off their retail price. They came yesterday and are super comfy and one of my fave colors.

dream home...

Recently, I've spent a ton of time online browsing at home decor blogs... why you ask? Are we in the market for a home? Absolutely not - it's just a guilty pleasure, and I love what people can do to make their homes unique and reflective of their personal style and personality. Here are a few rooms I stumbled upon...

My dream house would have rooms similar to this...

Dining Room

Formal Living Room

Kitchen

Guest bathroom

Office

Family Room

Backyard

Walk In Closet (It's Tory Burch's)

Congrats!

We had an amazing time at the wedding of our dear friends, Susan and Matt, this weekend. We had so much fun from beginning to end, watching the happy couple and catching up with friends. They had a wonderful piano entertainer - like the kind you see at dueling piano bars, and a youtube-worthy rap-toast from the Maid of Honor. I'm sure she'll be an Internet hit soon! Susan and Matt - thanks for including us in your special day - just wished ya'll lived closer!

Here are a few pics from their big day!

Beautiful bride...

The high school group (Megan is an honorary Humble girl!)

So happy for y'all!

Staycation

Finally! A weekend in Houston that we could take full advantage of...The weather was beautiful on Saturday, and Lee didn't have to work for the first time in what seems like a year. I deemed it "my day," since I got to plan out the deets. We ate at the adorable and delicious Tiny Boxwood's, where they never fail to please and offered a delicious lunch punch - which is basically champagne, sugar, strawberries and blueberries. Um, yum.

After lunch, and a trip to HEB - the first time I think we've ever gone to the grocery store together!, we drove around the Heights and Garden Oaks. I love exploring different neighborhoods in Houston - especially ones that have character, and the homes are not mass produced. We ended the home viewing venture with drinks at Onion Creek and a rousing game of Tribond, with May and Ed. May is amazing, and beat us all very badly.

After mini game night, the night ended on a high note. Kari's birthday/Mardi Gras themed party at Amy, Mere and Megan's place was an awesome time as always catching up with friends that I've known for 20+ years. As fun as the party was, I don't think it left me in great shape for the ballet/pilates/yoga course I had at 11:00 this morning. Oh well- so worth it!!

Despite, the bad rap Houston occasionally gets, I love our big, overweight, concrete city!
