December Adventures…
Here’s a couple of pictures from our crazy month…
1) Traveled to Telluride with 800 of Lee’s Kellogg classmates, dressed up in our 80’s best and managed to escape with just minor bumps and bruises…
2) Celebrated Ashley’s engagement, Katie’s beautiful baby boy, Ford, and Abby’s baby due later this month
3) Met my sweet English cousin’s lovely fiancé (Gav) and celebrated Christmas in Dallas
4) Sadly watched A&M defeat Northwestern in the Meineke bowl at Reliant
5) Celebrated a lovely couple’s marriage and brought in the New Year with more family, friends and food!
Hilarious cake, right?
It was so fun, but I’m grateful to be home for the week!

Pack Master
Hope you had a good week! I’ve been feeling anxious with the amount of stuff we still have to get done before moving, but looking forward to a weekend of catching up with Lee’s high school friends (and their lovely sig others) who are in town to celebrate their 10 Year High School Reunion. Mine is next week – and I’m just curious, where did those 10 years go?
Besides, I know I shouldn’t worry about the packing when we have this little guy to supervise…(standing on our never been used crystal stemware…he’s got good taste; what can I say.)
Have a relaxing weekend.

The Windy City
Earlier this year we visited Chicago to find our new home (for two years) and visit family. Looking back at the few pictures I took, I’m getting really excited for our new adventure, though I’m trying to be realistic and prepared for some of the challenges of moving, like leaving close friends and the comfort of the city that has been home for over 6 years. Even the little things, like knowing the best drycleaner/nail salon/grocery store, as well as the hidden neighborhood gems is so easily taken for granted.

Happy Birthday Mom!
Today is my mom’s 60th Birthday! We celebrated this past weekend in Dallas with a party, pedicures and several delicious meals. I made a story of her life using Shutterfly, and aside from a couple of wrong dates on my part, it turned out great, and she was so happy and surprised! Here are a few of my favorite pictures that I used in the book.
Happy Birthday Mom…Thank you for all you do, and I hope you’ve had the best Birthday MONTH ever…We love you so much!

5 Things I’m Loving This Week…
Here is just a quick look at some of the things that I fell in love with this week…
A dark, moody and glamorous dining room – owned by Aerin Lauder. Check out the rest of her beautiful place, here.
Bright, bold dresses – perfect for Spring and Summer
The Hunger Games trilogy …so good!
The quirky white bedroom belong to Sara Tuttle and her adorable pet.
Clothing as art – what a great way to take what you already have and just add some bling!
Have a great relaxing weekend!

Check out Chena Design!
I have mentioned the talents of my sweet sister-in-law before, and now I couldn’t be prouder of her. If you get a chance, check out her new website Chena Design that launched last week.
It includes her diverse portfolio with beautiful shots of her work including:
Wedding Stationary
Custom Monogramming and hand lettering
Personalized stationary and invitations (how cute is their Holiday Card from this past year?!)
Graphic Design
Branding
and more!!
If you need any design work done, she’s your gal, and you can contact her here. In fact, she designed an awesome new blog header and background for me that I can’t wait to share!

Thankful.
‘Tis the season to be thankful. It is SO easy to get carried away with the chaos of the holidays. I, for one, am very guilty of being overzealous around this time. I want every gift I buy, decoration I hang, dish I make, etc. to be perfect and therefore, tend to lose focus on enjoying time with family and friends.
But this year I want to pause and reflect – I’m so thankful for the following:
Family – One of the best parts of getting married, is gaining another family. We’ve been blessed to have two wonderfully supporting and loving families
Girlfriends – I don’t know what I’d do without them.
Kitty – I know I know, we’re ridiculous about our cat, but he truly brings us so much joy. He’s a living fur ball with a penchant for paranoia and ludicrous meows.
Travel – Experiencing new things, meeting people and seeing the world is a wonderful gift. I’m thankful for all the beautiful places we’ve been, and I can’t wait to see more of this crazy world.
What are you thankful for this season?
